In our office we use tooth colored restorations. Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, to close gaps between the teeth, to fix chipped or stained teeth or for other cosmetic purposes.
The bonding procedure can be completed in one visit. A bonding agent is applied so the composite material adheres to the tooth. The composite is placed and then hardened with a bright light. It is shaped and polished to get an esthetic and smooth finish.
